Untier is the story of the alienation of people from one another. The story of human relationships that fall prey to habit, routine and a series of stupid and sometimes horrible actions that essentially render them meaningless. The German word "Untier" means something like "anti-animal," "monster," or a person who has fallen into disgrace.
Many different recording techniques were used to create the album: there are field recordings, junk metal percussion, a lot of analogue synthesizers, rearanged and stretched foud sounds, bass guitar, a roland TR8 for some of the percussion and a bit of modular synthesis.
