Karsten Hamre is a Norwegian musician, photographer and designer currently living in the Philippines. He is well known for his numerous projects such as Penitent, Dense Vision Shrine, Arcane Art, Veiled Allusions to name a few. Karsten Hamre is a very productive and talented musician, he has released more than fifty albums since 1994 in such genres as experimental, dark ambient, industrial, dark wave, neo-classical, drone, gothic.
The material which is presented on VOLOKRecords is the ninth full-length album by Karsten Hamre, called Through Alien Eyes Volume I. It's a kind of journey in the twilight, among the dark silhouettes of synth passages, spiced up with noise pulsation.
Contours of alien landscapes, half-destroyed cities, reflections of fire in the eyes of strange creatures. Such is the world of "Through ALien Eyes".
The album is accompanied by a 160-page PDF booklet with the author's lyrics and more than 150 black and white photographs.
